Steve Neese​ (Executive Director)

Steve is the Executive Director of the Santa Clara Schools Foundation and also serves as Community and Business Partnerships Manager for SCUSD. He connects businesses and nonprofits with schools to bring in funding, volunteers, and real-world learning. His work supports SCSF’s mission to expand access and opportunity for all students.

Christy Chalfant

Christy Chalfant

Christy brings 16 years of dedicated service as a former teacher and administrator in the Santa Clara Unified School District to her role on the Santa Clara Schools Foundation Board. Her deep connection to the district fuels her commitment to giving back to the community and continuing to support students through the Foundation’s initiatives. As a Board Member, Christy is proud to help expand educational opportunities and resources for all SCUSD students.

Connor Keese

Connor is the Director of Outreach & Student Life at Mission College, where he is dedicated to strengthening partnerships between the college, Santa Clara Unified School District, and the broader community. Inspired by SCSF’s innovative approach to providing vital resources and opportunities for SCUSD students, he joined the board to support and advance this important work.

Elise DeYoung

Elise DeYoung

Elise is a retired independent school CBO and private industry CFO who served on the SCUSD School Board while her two sons attended SCUSD schools K-12 in the regular and special education programs. She believes family participation and community involvement and commitment are the foundation for the continued success of SCUSD schools.

Jason Fischer

Jason is a current UC Santa Cruz student, who graduated from SCUSD schools. He brings a fresh perspective and a commitment to helping the Foundation strategically and professionally bring a better educational experience to SCUSD students while developing the practical skills to further its mission.

Kimberley Williams

Kimberley Williams

Kimberley works as a Senior Program Manager at Stanford University and whose daughter started in SCUSD schools as a kindergartener and is currently attending Santa Clara High School. Kimberley is dedicated to supporting educational organizations aimed at strengthening communities and devotes her volunteer hours to leadership roles in the CA State PTA and the Santa Clara Schools Foundation.

Mark is the Deputy Superintendent of Operations/Chief Business Official for SCUSD, where his children attend school. His comprehensive background in education finance and operations allows him to provide valuable expertise to support the Santa Clara Schools Foundation's mission of enhancing educational opportunities for all district students.

Teresa O’Neill

Teresa O’Neill

Teresa is a proud graduate of SCUSD schools and Stanford University. In addition to having a long career at Hewlett-Packard Company, Teresa has volunteered and served on boards of directors with many local non-profit organizations. As a former member of the SCUSD Board of Education, she has a particular interest in ensuring that our Santa Clara schools provide a great education for every student of all abilities and ages.
