Where Do We Get Our Funding?

The Foundation funding comes from three major sources:

How is the Money Spent?

All money raised from the Marilyn Rea/Foundation Golf Tournament, Music Rivals and The Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival will continue to go towards our grants, scholarship programs and to fund programs and services that have a direct impact on students, such as maintaining class size reduction, music programs, technology, and counseling. As an all-volunteer organization, the Foundation pays no salaries.

Why Should I Donate?

As an alumnus, grandparent, or proud citizen of Santa Clara, consider sponsoring a child and investing in the future of all of our children. Santa Clara schools already have an excellent reputation. In the last several years many of our school in Santa Clara Unified School District have received California Distinguished School Awards. Private support for public education is growing in California. There are over 700 educational foundation in the state.

California is ranked ranked near the bottom among states in per-pupil spending. Proposed school funding cuts would further impact the quality of the education of our students.
